¡Es la Última Semana en el CCM!

¡Es la Última Semana en el CCM!

I can't believe my experience at el Centro de Capacitación Misional México is coming to an end! It really feels like I arrived last week, took a powerful Spirital Español pill, and am now leaving for Portland! I want to thank Presidente Bennett and his wife for their service here in México. They and the other members of the CCM Presidencia have provided so much spiritual inspiration that has filled over half my journal. Muchas gracias por todas cosas, incluyendo los muchos consejos ayúdame con siendo un misionero mejor.

I am also grateful for my District and the family they are to me. There will never be another opportunity in the mission to be this close to my District. I'm excited to arrive in Portland, but leaving these awesome missionaries is sad. Here are the members of my District with their missions:

Elder Alex Guymon
Oregon Portland Mission - (Obedient Powerful Missionaries)
--------------
Elder Mckay Waite
Pennsylvania Pittsburgh Mission
--------------
Elder Ethan Lawton
Rochester New York Mission
--------------
Elder Joseph Winmill
Texas Lubbock Mission
--------------
Elder Ephraim Light
California San Fernando Mission
--------------
Elder Keller Neddo
Pennsylvania Pittsburgh Mission
--------------
Elder Clayton Wood
Oregon Portland Mission
--------------
Hermana Bailey Marcom
Uruguay Montevideo Mission
--------------
Hermana Brinley Wood
Washington Spokane Mission
--------------
Elder Josh Sensanbaugher
Arizona Tempe
--------------
Elder Braden Brooks
Pennsylvania Pittsburgh Mission

Between all these missionaries I know that thousands will come to know of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Last P-day, my District wanted serve the kitchen staff so we cleaned all the dishes from dinner. There are over 700 missionaries here now, double that of my first week, so there was plenty of work to be done. Thousands of plates, bowls, cups, and silverware. It was really fun but my hands were tingling for the next few hours because of how wet they got from spraying off the dishes.

All the new missionaries remind me of when I first arrived, nervous because of what I didn't understand and what I might've gotten myself into. But now I am just excited to be getting my hands dirty in the field. For if "the field is white already to harvest," then consider it harvested because I'm ready to work.

I continue to pray for you all and your well-being and joy. I hope you find happiness everyday as you serve your family and friends. King Benjamin said, "...that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God." (Mosiah 2:17)
"...que cuando os halláis al servicio de vuestros semejantes, solo estáis al servicio de vuestro Dios." (Mosíah 2:17)

With lots of love I say my goodbyes from the CCM. The next time I write I will be in the
US of A!

With much love,
Elder Fonnesbeck

Highlights from Home:

Bridger was excited to get a letter from Branson today for his 10th B-Day!
He thought the 20 Pesos included inside was so cool---Thanks BIG Bro!

Kind of fun to think of our "snail mail" crossing the border.
Our family translated our favorite missionary quotes to decorate postcards
to send to all his District family.  Hope they get them soon!

Snapped a shot of Elder Fonnesbeck's 1 month mark on August 4th 2017!

To make Elder Fonnesbeck smile we sent these memories of us visiting Friendship Park.
(where families from America & Mexico can visit together)
