¿Como fue su Halloween Fonzfam?
Your Halloween sounds super successful! All that candy is going to be rough on your teeth, but it's lucky that you have a dentist appointment soon to take care of them. Now that Halloween has passed, Thanksgiving is just around the corner! This month is going to be a special one as I look for more opportunities to be thankful for the blessings God gives me every day. This last week there were so many miracles and I have seen His hand in my life so much.
After going to the temple with Alexis Monday evening I was pumped to get started with this week. I knew it was going to be a great one! We watched the video of Oliver Cowdery's experience of translating the Book of Mormon. It was cool having alreading watched it before, so when we watched it in spanish it was easy to keep up with it. After watching the video, we talked about his date for baptism, trying to get a solid confirmation on the 4th of November. After praying aloud about it, he felt he wasn't ready so we agreed on the 25th of November. This I feel will benefit him better so that he continues to grow his testimony and develop good habits. He was able to come to church for the 6th time yesterday too, where they announced his date which makes it more of a commitment on his part. I hope I don't get transferred out Wednesday! Even if I do move I will be able to come back for his baptism.
On Wednesday I was on a blitz with a different Elder and we knocked on this door and a Venezulean woman answered. She was on the phone but invited us back on
Saturday morning. So we came back to her house and her mom answered. We had a good conversation about the Bible and because it was quite cold, she invited us in and we talked for a good hour. We went over the Libro de Mormon and the introduction. She really was interested in it and wanted to know more. She asked how she could buy a LDM, and I told her that it was free and I gave her Mom's LDM. She took it and hugged it. It made me so happy! We were able to set up another lesson with her tonight and we hope to get a baptismal date set as a goal at least.
Like I said before, Heavenly Father has blessed Elder Clarke and I with many miracles. I hope you are all able to recognize those blessings and the light in each day. God continually blesses us in our times of prosperity and in our times of despair. Always remember to thank Him at the end of your day for every little blessing. Doing that will bring more joy in your life and in the lives around you.
Have a fantastic week and enjoy the snow:)
Love,
