Feliz Navidad 2017 from Elder Fonnesbeck!

Elder Branson Fonnesbeck sends his love to his family & friends this Christmas 2017 season.
He has enjoyed participating in our church's worldwide campaign of
25 days in 25 ways #LightTheWorld.
He encourages us to watch & share the daily thoughtful videos the church has produced
which go along with the daily scripture themed challenges.

This Christmas Elder Fonnesbeck wanted to spoil us as a family somehow.
As parents we have encouraged our children for years to create
thoughtful letters for their siblings and us as their parents.
The passing out and reading of each of these letters has been
a special part of our family Christmas Eve for many years.
We hope this tradition carries through into their adulthood
as not only a simple gesture but one from the heart.

This was our request again in place of presents from our missionary.
It must have taken a great amount of time but here is a picture of the Christmas
we received hand writtened from our favorite missionary.

Thank you Elder Fonnesbeck for sending your love & testimony.
In each of our letters he shares his experiences of how each of the Libro de Mormons
(we prepared for him back in September) has been shared & placed into the hands
of special investigators with hopes that they will read & ponder it's truths.

Elder Fonnesbeck also (through help from home) desired to share
a Christmas card/letter & testimony this season.
A willing member from his ward offered to take these fun photos
of he & his District missionaries to share in his Christmas cards.
Hope you enjoyed receiving a Christmas greeting from Elder Fonnesbeck!

All decorated for his first missionary Christmas away from home.
Each December day until Christmas Elder Fonnesbeck opens a present
from his plaid Christmas stocking.  It corresponds with a book entitled, "Words of Christmas".
(These two ornaments that he is displaying are some unique ones
we ordered special just for him to enjoy)
We teased him that we were disappointed his Oregon Christmas tree was so petite & not even alive.
Come on, he is serving in Christmas tree capital...where's the grand ole Christmas tree?!

Disappointed a bit, a week before Christmas Elder Fonnesbeck received word
that he was being transferred for the first time in his mission.
He gave his all to his first area, loved his first companions but has expanded joy
in his new area of Tualatin, Oregon with Elder Montague.
This is them with Santa's helper at their Spanish branch Christmas party.
