¡Feliz Día de Valentina!

Mi Bendita Familia,

What?! Valentine's already? As always time just sets sail when you get caught up doing missionary work. It is absolutely the best though, it really is. Today Elder Montague and I decided to change things up for our p-day activities by getting up early and going out for a ride. First thing this morning we went over to our zone leader's apartment and borrowed their bike rack (our little Corolla has a hitch) and then picked up the Sisters' bikes. We've been able to bike along miles of awesome trials next to the Tualatin River and other areas. Oregon is so beautiful, especially this morning with the sun being out and it already getting to 50°. Later our whole zone is going to meet up and play soccer and rugby on some nice turf fields. I'm really looking forward to that.

‎Yesterday at church we had some great speakers talk about what it means to be a member of Christ's restored church. They went into detail about experiences they've had by living those principles that we learn from the scriptures. Unfortunately Rosa wasn't able to come to church because her oldest son got a hold of the chicken pox, but as soon as they are cleared to go they promised to come right back. Some of our members went by to see how she was doing yesterday and they said she and her kids were all doing great. We have another dinner planned with her too later this week. She's the best!

‎This last week was our Zone Conference where we received our Samsung J3, some older version that was relatively cheaper and compatible with the protection app we have. It's been so helpful with just menial things. Before receiving them, President Bullen asked us all to watch a series of videos by Elder Bednar about who explained the reasoning behind technology and the work. He explained how the Lord trusts missionaries and their ability to choose for themselves if they are willing to follow the guidelines set. Miracles and blessings are forfeited if we do not follow the direction provided by our inspired leaders. It is a work of salvation, going out to find those lost souls and bringing them back into the fold.

‎With Valentine's Day in a couple days, get ready to spread Christ's love to everyone you know. May it be by means of a small letter, a service for someone you don't know, or even just a hug. Always looking for those little opportunities will bring blessings into your life as well as into theirs. Thank you for your cards and packages, they always bring a smile to my face. I appreciate all that you do at home to bring the Spirit into the lives of others. Continue to live, serve, and teach as Christ showed us to do, and continues to show us.

I love you all so much and hope this week is full of Love!!!
Con mucho amor,
