¡Hola Fonzfam!
School's finally coming to a close again. What a year it's been since MC graduation 365 days ago! Congrats Mary for making it all the way through! The kids here still have a couple more weeks so consider yourselves lucky:)
Next week is going to be transfers so we're all getting excited to see what happens, who changes, and where everyone goes. These last couple of transfers have flown by so fast as we try to make ourselves as busy as possible. Since our last p-day (last Monday) we've had some awesome things happen to us.
So on this past Wednesday (a week ago) we were down in Oregon City doing our thing... We were walking down the street to get the address of a guy we talked with before so we could send the OC Elders by. So we grab the address and keep walking down the street and we come up on two guys. One said hi and the other didn't seem too happy to see us, so we go on a walk and talk with this guy down the street a little bit. He told us that last week he was going to take his life because of all the things he was going through. He has never had God in his life and in that moment God made himself known to him. He said that he was going to go church hopping this week and because we talked with him, ours would be the first one he went to! So he came to church and he ate all of it up, he said that he was spiritually stuffed:) After church we talked with him for a long time about questions and things and he even asked about baptism and what he needs to do to join the church! God definitely puts us in the right places at the right time.
Today we went to the temple as part of our p-day. We get to go three times a year now and so this was our last time until October. As always the Spirit that resides in the temple is so strong and I feel so spiritually recharged. I know there's divine power that lies within the walls of the Lord's house. I brought a couple questions with me into the temple and after studying it out in the celestial room, I feel that God was with me as I counciled with Him. I love the temple, but while I'm a missionary I'm glad to be doing the work for the living;)
Ok, so I recently finished the Book of Mormon for the first time in Spanish. I officially started that journey back in November and did my best to read and understand the words of the American prophets in a second language. It was awesome and now I want to read the BoM again! So to start off our summer I wanted to do the 90 Day BoM with you guys. If we start it by June 1st this Friday, it'll take us through the summer to the end of August. I think it would be cool if we were to be in the same spot all summer and we can keep track of it. I'll attach a reading chart that I found that helps break it down day by day like the 60 Day one we did before my mission.
