¡Podemos Reconocer las Bendiciones!

¡Hola Fonzfam!

Over 11 months in the mission now! Boy it's flying! It continues to be a journey that I'm learning so much about. Being a missionary is hard but the rewards are incredible! This week has been kind of a rollercoaster. We've had some really slow days and we've had some really stacked up days. For some reason almost everyone in our teaching pool could meet up and it was all at once for like three days. This was after a slow start to the week of just finding, but what it turned into was lesson after lesson. Those couple days were awesome and it helped set us up for this upcoming week.

We had another great MLC this last Friday. Our mission has been striving to reach our goal of 35 baptisms a transfer with not the greatest success. But this last transfer we came really close with 31! Because of that President Bullen stripped off his suit coat, undid his tie, and took of his watch and cranked out 31 pushups. It was something entertaining he did to show his excitement as our mission is on the rise.

We spent all morning Saturday at Milwaukie High School packing up classrooms and moving them to the many portables out on the football field. The school is renovating for the next 2 to 3 years, so it's going to be a long process for them. There were over a hundred volunteers, mostly from the Milwaukie Stake. It was a great experience and it was fun to be apart of it.

From reading the Book of Mormon this last week we've finished 1 Nephi and learned more about the trials Nephi and his family faced while in the wilderness. But since they've made it to the promised land they've been blessed with so many things that the Lord had prepared for them. In today's reading Lehi's getting ready to pass away and afterwards we read about the continuous stiffness of Laman and Lemuel as they complain against Nephi again. We must remember to never complain, even when things get hard or trials come our way. We must have faith that there is a bigger picture that we may not see at first, but in the end, as long as we're obedient, we will always be blessed. As we keep on reading the BoM daily may we be able to recognize the love of Christ in every moment of our day. Please have a fun and safe summer with all the different activities you are all involved in! I love you all!

Love,
