¡El Espiritu de Cristo!

¡Hola Fonzfam!
This first week of December flew by as we get closer and closer to Christmas day. Our week was a lot better than last week as we had so many tender miracles as we met with people we haven't seen in a while and met some new people too. With opportunities to serve others and share #LightTheWorld, we've found success with spreading the Christ's Spirit with countless families and individuals.
Thursday our zone had our personal interviews with President Bullen. That night we started an exchange with one of our district leader companionships which went into Friday. It was a more spiritual exchange because we decided as a zone that we would fast on that day to call upon the powers and blessings of heaven. As result many of the missionaries shared their miracles in our zone messenger chat. Someone called on set of sisters and asked to be baptized before the end of December! Another companionship found a mom and her son who asked about the BoM and then asked if they could come to church. We found a few more people with interest in learning more about the gospel. It was so hard as dinner got closer, but it was SO worth the incredible blessings that we experienced. Oh, and one more cool miracle came from it. Friday morning we got a text from Justin, who we've been teaching for a couple months now(because of his crazy busy job at Amazon we haven't met up in 3 weeks and we were ready to give up on him), asking if we could have a lesson Saturday. We arranged to meet at a member's apartment and we had a great lesson on the Sabbath day and taught the 10 commandments with the seminary hand signs. He's looking forward to coming to church at the begining of 2019! He is totally going to be baptized within a couple months!

Later that day, we had a lesson fall through in the complex we were in, and we hadn't really talked to anybody. We wanted to know why we were there, especially since we had this extra time. The Spirit pulled us to one side of the complex and then to a specific building. The second door we knocked was Samantha and Sean's place. They let us right in and so we shared our Christmas video and message. We thought they were husband and wife, but they were actually just siblings living together. They were great as we left them with a Restoration pamphlet and a BoM to read. We're excited to go back on Wednesday night to share more with them and invite them to church and our YSA branch activities!
Last night we were on visits with our Elders Quorum President and we stopped to help this guy who was unloading trash from his car. After introducing ourselves and offering help he told us that he was actually a member of the local family ward. We noticed the Christmas tree in the back of his car and asked him if we could have it since he was just going to throw it away. He was all for that idea and let us have it. Our prayers were answered! We finally got a tree to put in our place! All we need are some lights and a tree stand that we'll probably pick up from Good Will or something;)

It was the very end of our night. It was cold, rainy, and windy. Elder Hadfield was wearing a pair of Long Johns to keep warm. We saw an hispanic couple heading out the door of what looked like a Christmas family gathering. We made a B-line towards their door and struck up quick conversation with them. They spoke good enough english so Elder Hadfield was able to take part. They were really kind and actually let us in so we could share the #LTW video with them. They absolutely loved it and they talked about their family traditions. The grandparents took part with their daughter and their grandkids. They loved it so much that they invited us back to share more about our message about Christ! We're going to have to pass them off to the Hermanas, but it was so cool to end the week on a high note with this awesome family!

Tis the season to be merry. Tis the season to love. Tis the season to serve. I simply want to invite you to take part in this week's #LightTheWorld theme of Light your Community and serve someone around you. It doesn't have to be complicated, but just serve as Christ would serve. You are all so important to me and I hope that you have an amazing week! I love you tons!

Love,
