"Feliz Navidad 2018 Familia y Amigos!
Isn't it such a wonderful time of year! I love this holiday season and the joy it brings to not only me but to so many others. Some of the other missionaries have sung Christmas songs during the times of the year that definitely weren't Christmas, but their reasoning being that it's never too early to celebrate Christ's birth. They had me on that one! The birth of our Savior was just the beginning of a life that would soon change all of ours forever.
One of my favorite parts from the Nativity is when the angel appears to the shephards in the field and shares with them the amazing news of Christ's birth:
"And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."
- Luke 2:9-14
In the spirit of the season I invite you to reflect upon the impact Jesus Christ has had on your life and to express your gratitude to God for giving His priceless gift to all mankind. I know Christ lived a sinless life to provide the perfect example for us to follow. I love my Savior and Redeemer and I will never forget what He has done for me. I hope your holiday season is filled with light and love and that you're able to have some memorable times wherever you are. And of course, have a Merry Christmas!!!
