"Today: Sunday, November 25th, 2018, my youngest sibling, Brock Christian Fonnesbeck was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He chose to be baptized in beautiful Kauai, Hawaii (my family's favorite island). Brock turned 8 years old back in April 2018 and has patiently waited 7 additional months to be baptized during our family's Thanksgiving Hawaii vacation.
Out of consideration my family usually does not inform me of their vacation plans until AFTER their vacations but a few weeks ago my parents let me in on their plans by asking me to prepare a special "gift" as a surprise for Brock and the rest of my siblings. With President Bullen's blessing & the support of my companion I was able to prepare, present and video record a baptism talk as a "gift" to Brock. This was an honor and helped me feel close to my family on Brock's special baptism day.
During Brock's baptism program my dad turned on his tablet and shared my baptism talk and testimony with those in attendance. Brock wrote to me afterward and said he almost cried he missed me so much. My testimony on baptism & the Holy Ghost meant a lot to me to share as I was able to be a part of this special family occasion. I am grateful for the examples in my life of those faithfully willing to be baptized like our Savior and I know this step is the beginning of many blessings our Heavenly Father has in store for us as His children.
